Wollongong Botanic Garden is a wonderful place for people of all ages to visit with many garden collections to explore, picnic spaces to enjoy, an All Abilities Playground, a duck feeding area plus a range of activities including school holiday programs, garden workshops, theatrical tours and outdoor cinema.

In addition to the many garden collections displaying plants from around the world, there is an All Abilities Playground (including swings, a sand pit, slippery dip, climbing net, viewing platform and a maze suitable for children aged 2 to 12 years), picnic spaces, BBQs, as well as a duck pond with a feeding area, which is popular pastime for families. Coffee and a range of delicious snacks can be purchased from the Garden Grounds Café between 9.00am and 2.00pm everyday near the main entrance.

Birthday parties:
Looking for a kid’s birthday party with a difference? The Garden offers Ranger Birthday Parties for children aged 5 to 12 years.
The Ranger hosts lead a two-hour party package filled with heaps of engaging (and educational) outdoor activities. Children will be actively engaged in a scavenger hunt, sample bush tucker and play traditional party games with a bit of twist. And don’t worry about the possibility of rain; they have lots of indoor activities on standby so the party can proceed rain, hail or shine!
Ranger Parties can be held on Saturday and Sundays in between 11am and 1pm, or 2pm and 4pm.
Parents have exclusive access to the Garden’s Towri Centre which has a fully equipped kitchen to allow you prepare party food.
