Blossom Ballet is a unique program designed by Emma Bell that features creative themes so children learn through drama and movement and use their imagination all while having fun with friends in a nurturing environment. The program is designed to keep your little dancer engaged, whether it’s learning how to plie, point or skip or learn more complex routines, your little one is always learning. Blossom Ballet also incorporates props so little dancers learn how to use and interact with props/sets to support their dance and dramatic learning and development experience.
"My mission is to foster a love of movement, dance, creative expression and friendship in your little ones. This can be achieved through an early introduction to dance, drama and creative movement." ~ Miss Emma Bell
About Miss Emma Bell
Emma Franklin Bell is absolutely passionate about the creativity and sense of joy dance brings to people. Starting classes as a preschooler, Emma trained in Eurythmie designed by Rudolf Steiner and this awakened her imaginative spirit. Emma then went on to train to elite levels as a full-time ballet student under the instruction of one of Australia's dance greats, Tanya Pearson OAM.
A dance highlight was when Emma was chosen at 15yo to perform with the English National Ballet in their Swan Lake Arena Spectacular in Sydney. After that, Emma trained full-time with Marie Walton-Mahon, Sheila Laing and Brent Street Studios training to Advanced RAD and Level 8 Vaganova.
Emma received her Dance Teaching Certificate from Queensland University of Technology and then went on to teach hundreds of students for the next 5 years. She coached students for RAD exams, eisteddfod solos and groups, as well as choreographing big numbers for full-stage productions. Emma began teaching in 2001 and has also adjudicated and guest taught young actors in movement as well as a stint teaching deportment in schools through the Beacon Foundation. Emma has performed in numerous shows including the semi-professional musical productions of Jesus Christ Superstar in Adelaide and Paris the Musical by the late Jon English. After graduating from university at 28, Emma ventured into running her own studios 'Fairy Footsteps ~ Preschool Ballet', which opened to sell-out classes at 3 locations in Western Australia.
Living on the other side of the country, Emma sold the studios and they still run today. Emma has coached dance studio owners in the art and the business of running a studio and she's excited to be back in the studio teaching and creating.
