About Professor Duffy
Professional astrophysicist Professor Alan Duffy creates universes on supercomputers to understand how galaxies form and to probe the nature of dark matter. He is a passionate believer that any science concept can be explained to any audience in a fun and accessible way, and is regularly asked to speak on national TV, such as The Project, ABC Breakfast and many other programs. He is Director of the Space Technology and Industry Institute and the Lead Scientist of the Royal Institution of Australia, home of Cosmos. Professor Alan Duffy says, “There has never been a more important Space Week for Australia, as we see rocket companies launching from our country and the Australian Space Agency guide flagship satellite missions for our nation’s safety and prosperity.”
