Wollongong Comedy is bringing you some very special laughter this August! So grab the hubby, your besties, or make a girls night out of it, and enjoy a night on the town at Wollongong Comedy!
JACKIE LOEB & GRETEL KILLEEN
Jackie Loeb lives in LA. Gretel Killeen since her days of Big Brother are over, lives in la-‐la-‐land . Every couple of years these two Mo Award winning comedic stars come together in a new show that brings us up to speed with the latest hilarious chapters in their lives. As sexually irresistible geniuses, with a casual down to earth common-‐people flare, these two earnest hotties relate to every woman and man giving life a bash.
Jackie and Gretel are joining forces again for only one Wollongong show this SUNDAY Aug 19. Don’t miss them!
Jackie has just co-starred in a Hollywood Film, and her ego is bigger than ever! Gretel has not starred in a Hollywood Film, but appeared in Berlin and New York, fallen in love and also accidentally learnt how to make seafood paella for vegans. Come see these women while their heads still fit through the door.
YES! Why stay at home and watch Neflix, when you could be getting wise and comforted whilst rockin’ it in the real world with two of the most celebrated people in the galaxy.
THE AUSSIE PUB TOUR
The Aussie Pub Comedy Tour was the brainchild of Justin Nelson, one half of the Nelson Twins (the top half) knowing that in Australia we love a beer and a laugh he thought he’d combine to two.
The twins big bush ranger beards and cracking one liner jokes are just a part of an amazing act never before seen on the comedy circuit. They have won several comedy awards in their career and shown their versatility by performing to sold out audiences in Edinburgh during the 2010 Fringe Festival (http://www.nelsontwins.com.au/).
“The Bloke” himself Chris Franklin is in the mix with the unlikeliest number one hit in Australia. Chris is one of Australia’s premier comedy stars. He’s an Aussie bloke, a yobbo or a bogan, from his flannelette shirt to his double plugger thongs. His "Hoganesque" style of comedy appeals to every average Australian and touches on the delicate issues of beer, sport and relationships.
And then there is Evan Hocking - ‘The Suburban Footballer’ starting on radio in Port Douglas and his show "Unnecessary Noise with Buddah" gained a cult following. Having being starved for places to perform he moved back to Melbourne and has become a regular at sporting clubs and comedy rooms around Victoria.
