EXPERIENCE SITEWORKS! WHERE NATURE, LEARNING, ARTS, SCIENCE AND CAMPING COLLIDE…
Haven’t heard of Siteworks? Prepare to be amazed!
The annual Bundanon Siteworks event is back on Saturday 29 September and as always, it promises to be a fantastic event!
Held every spring in the stunning grounds of Arthur Boyd’s Bundanon property in Illaroo, Siteworks is near Nowra and only about 80mins drive from Wollongong. With a program running from midday until late, you can get amongst the pristine bushland setting while exposing the kids to world class artists, performers and thinkers.
Siteworks appeals to families with a sense of adventure and an appreciation of nature, science and arts. This completely unique event combines ‘create and make’ workshops (for big and little people), artwork and conversation with a stunning natural setting and delish local food (always essential).
Each year contributors are invited to explore a theme. In 2018, the theme is Micro: Little things mean a lot. Exploring the ‘little things’ will take the form of tiny gods, dancing spiders and microbes in both the soil and your gut... plus plenty more. Click here to view the full list of artists and speakers.
The program is spread around the Bundanon property giving you plenty of opportunity to roam. The kids won’t even notice the ‘high calibre educational content’ – they’ll be too busy being immersed in it!
After dark performances and installations in the bush are an experience you won’t forget. Why not pitch a tent and enjoy the full experience without
having to drive home afterwards? There's a bar from late afternoon and the evening program is followed by a DJ. You can hit the dance floor then get
up bright and early to treat the family to a bbq breakfast. Siteworks is a full day of culture and inspiration for the whole family.
Be warned however, this is ‘proper’ camping; read no showers/ATM’s etc on-site so you’ll need to pack accordingly! Camping books out super quick so get
in early if pitching a tent floats your boat! Camping is seriously limited and only available when pre-booked so click through to book your spot now.
Bundanon strives to reduce the waste created at our events. Bring your own water bottle and refill at the stations provided.
Due to popular demand, there is a shuttle bus running throughout the event, travelling from Nowra Bus Terminal (Stewart Place) and Bomaderry Train Station. Like the camping, this must be pre-booked – click here for the info.
Best of all, Siteworks is right here on the south coast! Don't miss this wonderful, immersive and unique event. It’s the perfect day out whatever the age and stage of your kids!
